Sooooo, this is me - at my happiest - walking in the countryside  , surrounded by nature to truly INSPIRE me- with my two dogs.

This blog will be full of nature inspired projects for you to do.

Beautiful photos.
Some of my work - watercolour nature scenes and acrylic seascapes.    Vintage finds - be it from charity shops or an old copy of country living magazine.
There truly will be so much to discover.........

ACRYLIC FLOWER PAINTING
Is there anything that can give one as much satisfaction as making something yourself?  The planning. The designing. Maybe sketching it out on paper first?  Popping to the local haberdashery or art shop to get supplies.   Searching through your own stash of goodies?  You can express yourself AND Create with a HUGE CAPITAL C!  Come with me on a blog journey of huge potential!

Driftwood delights & pompom products. Learning linocutting & illustrating ideas. Sketching   beautiful blooms & trees.
What more could you want from a nature inspired crafty blog?!

SOME ARTS & CRAFTS I CAN DO WELL. SOME I AM CRAP AT (looks like my dogs may have produced it)  AND MOST ARE OK.

There are just soooo many interesting and fun projects that can be done with buttons. There will be a regular spot called 'button corner'. Intriguing - I know. Yes buttons. Like seriously who doesn't like buttons? We ALL like buttons surely?   Be they brand spanking new, old and vintage from your Grandma's metal & rusty tin, ones that have been purchased and kept 'just in case', or the latest buy from the local haberdashery. There are so many delightful items that one can make with them. Obviously popping them onto an old cardie re-juvinates it. But how about button brooches? Or button art? - my personal favourite. I will be showing some of mine later in future blogs.

Vintage is still in & not looking like it's going to go anywhere fast. Which is good news.  Vintage. You can't flick through a magazine without an article having the word vintage in the title. Well....good. I like vintage!

Definition from Oxford English Dictionary - Denoting something from the past of high quality, especially something representing the best of its kind: a vintage Sherlock Holmes adventure.

Image result for bookNot sure about Sherlock Holmes personally.....but I do love finding genuine vintage goodies from charity shops. Where I live in Bexhill on Sea we are lucky (and I say lucky as it's often a cause for stern discussion with opposing sides saying we have too many of them....) to have LOTS of charity shops to rummage around in. One of my personal favourites is finding old books. My art studio is STUFFED full of them! They are such a useful source of information. Reading about tips for painting from books written before I was alive is interesting!   Of course, art is a continuous journey in which to learn. I don't think you can ever know everything. I am certainly   learning and changing.

'MAUD' - WATERCOLOUR HARE

Anyway - hopefully you have read enough to pop back again sometime soon . Thank you for reading to the end!Vicky :-)    Being creative is not a hobby - it's a way of life.
